Tendulkar to play in Pakistan Charity Match
Surrey County Cricket Club have announced that Sachin Tendulkar will play in the Pakistan Charity match at the Brit Oval on 10 July.
The Indian star becomes yet another huge household name set to play in an international XI against Pakistan, in a Twenty20 match beginning at 5.30pm.
The match will raise funds for the President’s Earthquake Relief Fund.
Rahul Dravid and Mahendra Singh Dhoni will join their Indian team mate, as well as a host of other international stars that include Brian Lara and Muttiah Muralitharan.
Commenting on Tendulkar’s availability, Surrey Chief Executive, Paul Sheldon said, “It is fantastic to have one of the world’s greatest batsman on show
for the match. His presence, along with the other great players on display, will go a long way to ensuring that the day will be a huge success. I’d like
to thank Sachin for his support in this event and in previous charity matches held at the Brit Oval.”
The match has been fully endorsed by the PCB who have agreed to allow the whole Pakistan squad to be available for selection for the match.
Approximately 13,000 tickets have already been sold for the match. Tickets are just £20 for adults and £10 for Under 16’s and they are available by
