Presentation to Graeme Hick

To commemorate Graeme Hick’s magnificent achievement of scoring one hundred centuries for Worcestershire County Cricket Club, he will be presented with a canvas depicting key moments from various points throughout his career.

The presentation will be made at 5.15pm on Friday 30th June, prior to the start of the first Twenty20 match of the 2006 season to be played at New Road.

Graeme passed his impressive landmark last Thursday morning in front of a elated home crowd, as he sailed past 100 to go on to score 139 against Northamptonshire in the Liverpool Victoria County Championship.

No doubt he will be looking to put in another solid performance against the Steelbacks as they return to New Road in our opening home game of the 2006 Twenty20 campaign.

Jack Godfrey, the longest standing member of Worcestershire CCC, will present Graeme, the longest serving current player, with his award.

Jack has been a member at the County for almost 60 years. He joined the Club in 1947 and has enjoyed continuous membership ever since. He also managed to neatly combine business with pleasure for a large part of that period, as cricket writer for Worcester Evening News.

Replicas of the montage to be presented to Graeme will be available to buy from New Road 1 from Friday onwards.
