The teams have met on 45 previous occasions in One-Day cricket, with Gloucestershire leading the series 23-20, with two No Results.
This will be the second meeting of the sides at Arundel Castle – the visitors won on their previous visit to the ground, in 1972.
This will be the sixth meeting between the sides in the C&G Trophy – Sussex won the first two meetings (in 1968 and 1969), but Gloucestershire the last three (in 1971, the 1973 Final and 1987).
