Sussex v Hampshire at Hove, Friday 16 June

A win against Hampshire on Friday 16 June will see Sussex clinch a place in the C&G Final at Lord’s on 26 August.  There is all to play for as Hampshire have also got a distant eye on the prize.  If successful this would be the first Lord’s final for Sussex since 1993.

Sussex vs Hampshire in One-Day Cricket
The teams have met on 47 previous occasions in One-Day cricket, with Hampshire leading the series 26-20, with one No Result.

This will be the 22nd meeting at Hove, Hampshire again lead 11-9, with the 1980 fixture a No Result.
This will be the fourth meeting between the sides in the C&G Trophy – Sussex have won the previous three

Interesting Facts about this fixture:
The teams last played each other in 2003, on three occasions – Hampshire completed the NCL double, winning by 43 Runs at the Rose Bowl and 62 Runs (D/L) at Hove, but Sussex won the C&G match by 4 Wickets, played at the Rose Bowl.
Sussex’s best sequence in this fixture is four wins, achieved from 1981-2.  Hampshire have previously won seven in a row, from 1973-80.

This will be the second meeting under the Hove floodlights – the last Day/Night game was also the last meeting between the teams, which Hampshire won.
