Sussex aim for Lord’s Final
After 13 years Sussex are just two points away from a Lord’s Final and, on Friday 16 June if Sussex beat Hampshire, the Martlets will be flying high at cricket’s head quarters on Saturday 26 August in the Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy Final.
Shane Warne and his Hampshire boys are currently fourth in the table, just three points behind and will be just as determined to be at Lord’s. They’ll be making it very tough for Sussex and as such Friday night promises to provide a very exciting match.
The match is being sponsored by the RAF. There will be plenty of entertainment off the pitch with the RAF Dog Display, RAF Climbing Wall and they are bringing a Harrier Jump Jet with them. To get the match off to an impressive start the Falcons Parachute Display team are dropping in with the ball and will deliver it directly to the match umpires. It’s an evening not to be missed. And there’s a special treat in the break of innings, a fly pass by special members of the RAF … look to the skies!
There will also be junior coaching sessions at 3.30pm, 4.30pm and 5.30pm at £3 per child, held by professional SCCC coaches.
The game starts at 2.40pm and gates open at 1pm. Prices are £15 adults, £10 Seniors and Students, £5 Under 16s and Under 5s get in for free. Tickets are available in advance in person from the Club Shop or on the gate on the day.
