ICC CWC 2007 Official Hospitality Agents
Four of the nine newly-appointed Official Hospitality Agents (OHAs) for ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 are Local Organising Committees (LOCs).
As OHAs, the tournament’s host organisations in Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago now have the right to sell Hospitality packages internationally. The Official Hospitality Services Provider for ICC CWC 2007 – Cricket Hospitality 2007 – anticipates that, given the level of interest being shown, more of the regional LOCs will sign on as OHAs.
The other five OHAs are: Sunlink Holidays of Canada; Caribbean Travel Consortium from Jamaica (Great Vacations), Saint Lucia (Carib Travel) and Trinidad & Tobago (The Travel Centre); SportzVillage from India and Cavendish Hospitality and International Travel Connections Ltd. from the UK.
To meet the varied requirements and demands of global cricketing community, Hospitality packages will differ, with each option promising Caribbean flavour and style. The primary benefit of Hospitality packages is that they combine food and beverages along with match tickets. It also guarantees group seating.
“We have designed a number of match-day packages to embrace all the cultural traditions of each Host nation, and to deliver a true Caribbean atmosphere, while maintaining the professional standards expected of a world-class mega-sporting event,†explained Chris Bruton, CEO of Cricket Hospitality 2007.
Though each package will be different, they will all include: an ICC CWC 2007 themed match pack, a match programme and scorecard, a souvenir gift for each guest (not available with Hamper and Sports Bar packages), experienced professional hostesses on hand throughout the day and reserved parking at stadiums (subject to availability).
The five Hospitality packages are as follows:
The Suite Package: This package includes tickets and full accreditation to the Suite (Box) for all six or seven matches at the ground. A choice of catering options will be offered which clients may vary match by match, including a selection of beers, wines and soft drinks. These packages will be available at certain grounds only and must be bought in their entirety. Prices will start at US$2,000 per person (for all matches at that venue).
The Grandstand package: This high-end package includes Category 1 tickets with everyone seated together and full accreditation into the hospitality facility inside the stadium. A Caribbean bar with a choice of premium beers, wines and soft drinks will be available throughout the day. It will also include a Caribbean buffet breakfast before the start of play, a light buffet lunch, and a post-match supper followed by a Caribbean party. Prices will start from US$449 per person. Private tables for parties of ten will be available.
The Enclosure Package: This package becomes available once the Grandstand has sold out. It includes Category 1 tickets with everyone seated together, full accreditation into the hospitality village adjacent to the stadium, Caribbean buffet breakfast, a light lunch and a post-match supper with drinks. This will be followed by a post-match party. A complimentary Caribbean bar with a choice of wines, beers and soft drinks will be provided throughout the match. Prices will start at US$449 per person, per match.
The Hamper Package: This package includes tickets to the best available seats with everyone seated together and full accreditation into the hospitality facility adjacent to the stadium. A Caribbean buffet breakfast before play, a hamper lunch with a choice of beers and wines, and a post-match party invitation (subject to availability) will also be included. A complimentary Caribbean bar will be served throughout the match. This package will be sold in multiples of two only, starting at US$369 per person.
The Sports Bar: This budget package will only be available at selected matches. It includes the best available tickets with everyone seated together, full accreditation into the Sports Bar adjacent to the stadium and a light breakfast before play. A fork buffet lunch and a complimentary Caribbean bar with a choice of beers, wines and soft drinks will be available. These packages start at US$269 per person.
